Hi neighbor! I’m Craig.

I don’t remember life without real estate in it. One of my earliest memories is sitting on the dirty floor of a rental property my parents were rehabbing, eating fast food covered in spackle, plaster, and sawdust. A typical day for the Knox family.

I grew up in a world of house flipping. Most moms baked cookies and joined the PTA, but my mom was too busy putting men to shame with her drywall skills in the 22 houses she flipped before I graduated high school. Even when she settled down, it wasn’t a day that ended in “Y” if we weren’t sharing listings and shooting the breeze talking about different properties. That’s just my mom. My father owned rental properties, my grandfather was real estate royalty in California, and I had three cousins who owned home remodeling businesses — which got me a nail through the foot more than once doing odd jobs helping out.

And yet, I didn’t find myself immersed in real estate as a career until much later. But that different path is what really sets me apart, as it gave me a diverse set of skills that all give me an edge in helping you buy or sell a home.

Before I got into real estate professionally, I spent over 30 years working across two worlds: retail and healthcare. I started in retail — building a foundation in visual merchandising, sales, and customer service before moving into branding, marketing, and instructional design. Later, I transitioned into healthcare, where I led enterprise-level projects, developed marketing campaigns, and eventually became an executive overseeing the operations and growth strategy of an entire business unit for a $68 billion healthcare conglomerate.  

Along the way, I earned an MBA in Marketing, became a certified PMP® and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and picked up 10+ certifications in digital marketing and data analytics. All of that taught me how to manage complexity, communicate clearly, and get results — skills that translate perfectly into helping people buy and sell homes.

I started Pawperty Pros to bring together everything that matters to me: real estate, strategy, storytelling, and rescuing dogs so they too can have a home. Every client gets a plan that’s personalized, data-backed, and built to deliver results. And for every home I sell, I fund the rescue of a shelter dog through Paws Across Pittsburgh — because new beginnings should happen for people and pets.

I love hosting open houses, walking through fixer-uppers, and hearing the stories behind the homes people are leaving — and the dreams behind the ones they’re hoping to find. Real estate, for me, isn’t about transactions. It’s about people, stories, and community. Always has been.

Hi! I’m Peanut — proud rescue, professional snuggler, & I am the real boss around here at Pawperty Pros.

My story started out a little ruff. I was found tied to a building in West Virginia when I was just a few weeks old. The shelter was overcrowded, and I almost didn’t make it out. But then some amazing humans from Paws Across Pittsburgh stepped in (one of them I call dad), and I got a second chance. I hopped on a rescue transport to Pittsburgh, where I met Craig — my supposed “foster dad.”​  Spoiler alert: he failed. Foster failed.

 

The moment we saw each other, it was love at first sniff. Now, I go everywhere with him and make sure every client gets the loyalty and love only a rescue pup can inspire. Or at least I should go everywhere, but Dad doesn't take me to client's houses unless they ask him to. So you should totally request my services when you make an appointment with us!

At Pawperty Pros, we keep things people-focused, pet-friendly, and full of heart. A portion of every sale helps support local animal rescue efforts at PAP— because every dog deserves to find their furever home. Just like I did.
