Every minute in the USA,
a dog or cat is euthenized due to shelter overcrowding.

When we sell a home, we fund one for a resuce pet - because everyone deserves a home.

How We Help When You Buy or Sell a Home in Pittsburgh

Every animal deserves a safe place to call home — and every Pittsburgh real estate transaction with us helps make that happen.

For every home we close on in the Pittsburgh area, whether you’re buying or selling, we make a donation to Paws Across Pittsburgh that helps cover the cost of rescuing a shelter animal. That includes critical medical care, vetting, spay/neuter procedures, and the support needed to prepare them for adoption.

When you work with me as your Pittsburgh real estate agent, you’re not just getting expert guidance and marketing that moves homes — you’re directly contributing to saving a life. We sponsor a pet in your name at closing, creating a new beginning for you and for them.

It’s not just real estate. It’s rescue that makes a difference.

When I set out to start my own business, I knew I wanted it to be about more than just marketing & real estate — it had to give back. That’s how Pawperty Pros was born: inspired by my love for dogs, real estate, marketing, and helping people & pets find homes. The name? A tribute to the pups we help rescue that began with my first canine child JJ and continues with Peanut, my own foster fail turned business partner.

Who Rescued Who?

JJ My First Rescue

The click clacking of dog paws on the floors is the sound of home for me.

JJ, my canine son, crossed the rainbow bridge in May of 2024 at almost 17.

The last few years of his life were ruff health wise (I was taking him for walks in a stoller in the last weeks), and I was blessed to work from home mostly to be able to take care of him - like he always took care of his dad.

While Peanut inspired Pawperty Pros, JJ inspired starting my own business - one where I could be with my canine kids more and not in conference rooms and hospitals for 50+ hours a week, and I wish he were here for it.  This guy really rescued me!

About Us

Unleashing Second Chances

Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based animal rescue making a huge impact across Western Pennsylvania. In just 10 years, this all-heart organization has saved and rehomed over 6,000 animals — all without a physical shelter. Every pet lives with a foster family until they’re adopted, giving them a safe, loving environment while they wait for their forever home.

I chose to volunteer with Paws because of more than just their rescue numbers — it’s their mission alignment and compassion for people, too. They run a temporary foster care program for pet owners who are hospitalized or in crisis, so no one has to give up their pet just because they’re going through a hard time. As a former surgical director at UPMC, I saw firsthand how many patients delayed care or worried constantly about what would happen to their pets. This program stuck with me — and sealed the deal.

The need for fosters is always urgent. With no facility and limited space, the number of animals Paws can save depends entirely on how many people are willing to open their homes, even just for a little while.

My Rescue Journey With Paws Across Pittsburgh

Sometimes you need to throw a little love back into the universe.  And when you do, even more will come back to you.

After losing my mom and my 17-year-old canine soulmate, JJ, in the same month, I began fostering for Paws Across Pittsburgh to help heal my heart and share some love with the world.

What I didn’t expect was how incredible this organization truly is — powered by passionate volunteers doing life-saving work every day.

At first, I wasn’t ready for another dog. JJ wasn’t just a pet — he was my kid. But after helping my first foster with Paws Across Pittsburgh, Willie, find a home, I came across Peanut. He was on the euthanasia list due to shelter overcrowding — until a volunteer claimed him just in time. When that volunteer had to back out, I stepped in… and the moment I saw him step off the Paws transport bus, I knew Peanut had found his forever home — with me.

Peanut is now my sidekick and the real boss behind Pawperty Pros. I continue to foster for Paws Across Pittsburgh and support their mission however I can — from marketing support to hands-on volunteer work.
