Nothing says summer like sangria

When the temps rise and the vibes turn festive, there’s no better way to cool down than with a big pitcher of sangria. Fruity, refreshing, and endlessly customizable, sangria is the unofficial drink of summer soirées.

Whether you're throwing a backyard BBQ, lounging by the pool, or just vibing on your porch with a good playlist, these seven sangria recipes will bring the flavor—and the fun. Bonus: they’re all super easy to make in batches.

Let’s raise a glass to these 7 crowd-pleasing sippers:

1. Classic Spanish Summer Sangria

🍇 Red wine + citrus + brandy = timeless perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle dry red wine (Tempranillo or Garnacha work great)

  • 1 orange, sliced

  • 1 lemon, sliced

  • 1 lime, sliced

  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • ¼ cup brandy

  • 1 cup orange juice

  • 1–2 cups club soda (add before serving)

Instructions

Muddle fruit and sugar in a pitcher. Add wine, brandy, and orange juice. Chill at least 2 hours (overnight is best). Add soda just before serving.

2. White Peach & Basil Sangria

🍑 Delicate and aromatic—like summer in a glass.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle dry white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)

  • 3 ripe peaches, sliced

🍉 Fresh, light, and oh-so-refreshing.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle dry rosé

  • 2 cups watermelon chunks

  • ¼ cup triple sec

6. Sangria Blanca with Cucumber & Melon

🥒 Spa vibes in sangria form.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle white wine

  • 1 cup honeydew or cantaloupe balls

  • ½ cucumber, sliced

  • 2 tablespoons elderflower liqueur (like St-Germain)

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • 1 cup tonic or club soda

Instructions

Mix all ingredients (except soda) in a pitcher. Chill at least 1 hour. Add bubbles and garnish with extra cucumber or mint.

7. Berry Bubbly Red Sangria

🫐 Deep berry flavor + sparkling kick = party hit.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle red wine

  • 1 cup mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)

  • ½ cup blackberry liqueur (or Chambord)

  • Juice of 1 orange

  • 1 cup sparkling red or berry soda

Instructions

Mix wine, berries, liqueur, and juice. Chill 2+ hours. Add sparkling soda when ready to pour.

Final Sip: Sangria Tips 🍹

  • Chill Time = Flavor Time: Letting sangria rest in the fridge helps the flavors infuse. 2–4 hours is ideal, overnight is chef’s kiss.

  • Use Fresh, Ripe Fruit: If it tastes good on its own, it’ll shine in your sangria.

  • Make It Boozy—or Not: Each recipe can be adapted to be alcohol-free by swapping wine for juice or sparkling grape juice.

  • Batch Friendly: Scale up for parties! Each recipe makes 4–6 servings.

Cheers to long days, golden hours, and a chilled glass in hand. Got a favorite sangria combo? Drop it in the comments—sharing is caring (especially when fruit is involved).
