Hounds For Heroes builds on our mission of rescuing a pet from a kill shelter for every home sold—by making an additional donation to help Veterans living with combat-related PTSD access a trained service dog.
Training a service dog can cost $35,000+ and often takes 12 months or more. Many Veterans wait years. Hounds For Heroes exists to raise awareness and help nonprofits fund training so more Veterans can get the support they deserve—sooner.
Introducing Pets for Vets — Coming Soon
Building on our rescue mission, Pets for Vets will provide a grant to help a Veteran adopt a dog or cat from a nonprofit rescue. We’re still saving a pet from a kill shelter—while creating a second chance for the Veteran who brings them home.
